Ricardo Pina is a filmmaker and cinematographer specializing in action sports, with a strong focus on big-wave surfing. For the past five years, he has worked with Red Bull, capturing the biggest swells in Nazaré and documenting the stories of elite athletes pushing the limits of the sport.

​

As one of the cinematographers for seasons 2, 3, and 4 of the Emmy-awarded HBO series 100 Foot Wave, Ricardo has played a key role in showcasing the raw power of the ocean and the surfers who dare to ride it. He also created Von Froth, one of the most viewed YouTube series about Nic Von Rupp, further cementing his reputation as a leading storyteller in the surfing world.

Beyond action sports, Ricardo has extensive experience shooting and producing commercials for several brands. He recently completed a specialized ASC (American Society of Cinematographers) course in Los Angeles focused on lighting for commercials, enhancing his expertise in high-end visual storytelling.

Currently, he is producing Surfing Unicorns, an original series that blends action sports and storytelling in a fresh, dynamic way. Ricardo works with a team of talented professionals, from editors to directors, and has a vast network that enables him to execute productions of any scale.
